Department of Civil Engineering successfully conducted Survey Camp for the students of Civil Engineering - 2078 batch, from 30^th of Baisakh to 10^th of Jestha, 2081. The 12-day Survey Camp included in the curriculum is designed to allow the students to consolidate and update their practical and theoretical knowledge in engineering surveying. It also provides the students with real field-based exposure to learn and apply different surveying methods, modern surveying instruments, and computational practices. It was held inside the premises of the NEA Training Center at Kharipati, Bhaktapur. Lecturer Raju Miyan coordinated the camp, which constituted the following members:

Ninety-two students from the 2078 batch (71 males and 21 females) participated in the camp. The students performed practical exercises on horizontal control establishment for a large area, horizontal & vertical control establishment of minor traverse to prepare a detailed topographic map, bridge site survey, and road alignment survey. All the mentioned exercises were performed inside the NEA Training Center premises except the bridge site survey. The bridge site survey was conducted at Cha Khola, Mandandeupur, on the 5^th and 6^th of Jestha. The Instruction Committee selected and declared the best survey group, best male surveyor, and best female surveyor based on the student's performance throughout the camp. The names of the students are listed below.

The camp was successfully completed by the mutual cooperation of the Survey Camp Instruction Committee, participating students, and the NEA Training Center, Kharipati. The objectives of conducting the Survey Camp were successfully met, with the participating students acquiring new knowledge and consolidating their existing knowledge and skills in the field engineering survey.
