The Science and Humanities Department, Khwopa College of Engineering, and the Department of Physics, Tri Chandra Multiple Campus signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen academic collaboration, interdisciplinary research, and resource sharing between the two institutions on 16 Bhadra, 2082.

The agreement sets a framework for cooperation in areas such as:

• Resource and Facility Sharing, including research laboratories, lecture halls, conference halls, and specialized equipment.
• Collaborative Research promoting joint projects in science, environmental studies, engineering, and related fields, as well as applying for joint grants and co-authoring research publications.
• Academic Exchange sharing expertise, conducting guest lectures, workshops, and seminars, and facilitating student exchange and internship opportunities.
• Interdisciplinary Education: designing new courses, organizing joint educational events, and fostering innovation across disciplines.

Speaking at the signing, Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering, highlighted that the partnership would “create a platform for resource sharing and meaningful research that benefits both institutions and contributes to the advancement of engineering education in Nepal.”

Similarly, Associate Professor Pitri Bhakta Adhikari, HoD, Physics Department, Tri Chandra Multiple Campus, emphasized the significance of this MoU in bringing together expertise from both colleges to address emerging academic and research challenges.

The signing ceremony was attended by faculty members from both institutions. The MoU was signed by Senior Lecturer Mr. Bhesh Bahadur Thapa, Head of Science and Humanities Department, on behalf of Khwopa College of Engineering, and witnessed by Prof. Dr. Raju Bhai Tyata.

This collaboration is expected to open new opportunities for students, researchers, and faculty members, while reinforcing the role of academic partnerships in promoting innovation and quality education in Nepal.
