The Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) was established in 2074 B.S. with a vision to produce competent, ethical, and innovative engineers equipped to tackle global technological challenges. Bridging electronics, computing, and communication domains, the department offers a comprehensive four-year Bachelor’s program under the curriculum prescribed by the Institute of Engineering (IOE), Tribhuvan University.
The academic program emphasizes a balance between theoretical foundations and practical applications. Core areas of study include embedded systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, robotics, computer networks, and software development. Students benefit from access to modern laboratories, high-performance computing infrastructure, and professional tools such as MATLAB, Cisco Packet Tracer, Canva, and ChatGPT.
Beyond academics, the department cultivates a vibrant environment for project-based learning, research, and community engagement. Our students have excelled in national competitions such as Hack the Circle and Code-Yatra, and actively participate in internships, industry training, and outreach initiatives. Strong collaborations with organizations like Genese Academy, Dyltica Nepal Pvt. Ltd., and Deepmind Creations Pvt. Ltd. ensure that our graduates are ready to meet the demands of a dynamic industry.
Since our inception in 2074 B.S., our department has remained committed to producing technically proficient, socially responsible, and globally competent engineers. Our curriculum is designed to meet industry standards while encouraging innovation, critical thinking, and ethical engineering practices.
We are proud of our students' accomplishments—in academic excellence, national competitions, research, and community service—which reflect the dedication of our faculty, the support of guardians, and the energy of our students.
Our partnerships with leading industry and academic institutions have significantly enhanced the learning environment. From upgraded lab infrastructure to certified training programs and internship placements, we are ensuring that our students are prepared for the future. Recent developments include the establishment of an AI Lab and the integration of high-performance computing resources.
As we continue to grow in diversity and research output, we reaffirm our commitment to academic excellence, innovation, and societal transformation. I warmly invite aspiring engineers to join us on this journey at KhCE—where education is not just about learning, but about making a difference.
