With the aim of bridging the gap between academic learning and industry practice, Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Vedalaya Construction Pvt. Ltd. The MoU was formally inked on the 26th of Asoj 2082 (Nepali Calendar), in a ceremony witnessed by Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering, and Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati, Vice-Principal. Both dignitaries praised the collaboration as a milestone that will unlock new opportunities in education, research, and hands-on training for KhCE students.
The MoU was signed by Er. Ramesh Bala, Head of Placement Cell, and Er. Chandra Krishna Prajapati, Placement Officer, on behalf of Khwopa College of Engineering. Representing Vedalaya Construction Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Kapil Ghimire, HR and Marketing Manager, and Mr. Naresh Jadhari formalized the partnership.
This strategic alliance is designed to enhance student readiness for the modern workplace by integrating hands-on training, industry-driven research projects, and specialized workshops into the learning experience. Vedalaya Construction will support curriculum development and provide critical opportunities such as internships, site visits, and potential employment for qualified students. The collaboration also includes guest lectures by industry experts, collaborative research focused on sustainable construction, and technical support for academic projects.
As part of the agreement, Khwopa College of Engineering will offer infrastructural support, recommend students for internships, and coordinate academic events. At the same time, Vedalaya Construction will facilitate practical training, organize site visits, and mentor students with real-world industry exposure.
Both institutions reaffirmed their commitment to continually review the progress of this partnership and to adapt collaborative efforts in line with national infrastructure goals. This MoU reflects the shared vision of KhCE and Vedalaya Construction to produce industry-ready engineers and advance Nepal’s construction sector through innovation and practical experience.
