A delegation from the People's Republic of China, led by Wang Huaming, deputy head of Chingkangshan Municipality, paid a visit on Sunday, the 3rd of Mangsir, 2080, at Khwopa College of Engineering and Khwopa Engineering College. The primary aim of this visit was to strengthen cultural ties and explore potential areas of collaboration.
Er. Sujan Maka, Er. Sunil Duwal and Dr. Subeg Man Bijukchhen warmly welcomed the esteemed delegation, fostering an atmosphere of international collaboration and knowledge exchange.
Deputy Head Wang Huaming expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and the observation of the colleges. Wang highlighted the similarities between Bhaktapur and Chingkangshan in terms of tourism and culture. Chingkangshan holds historical significance as the birthplace of the Chinese Communist Revolution and the start of the People's Republic of China.
The deputy head commended Bhaktapur Municipality's commitment to providing quality education and healthcare. The role played by the engineering colleges in producing skilled human resources was also acknowledged.
Principals Maka and Duwal provided detailed insights into the institutions' history, mission, facilities, organizational structure, student enrollment, faculty, staff, academic offerings, and fee structures. There was a discussion on establishing higher educational institutions based on the Nepal Workers and Peasants' Party's motto, "One house, one graduate," declared in 2001. There were talks about establishing 'Khwopa University,' showcasing the commitment to education and human resource development.
The meeting saw the presence of chief administrator Long Lanhua from Chingkangshan Municipality, party secretary Li Xiaofeng, director of the Chingkangshan City Health Commission, deputy director He Xuanjuan, Mr. Damodar Suwal from Bhaktapur Municipality, and the college's administrative officer, Sanjaya Manandhar.
