The vibrant journey of the two-day educational exhibition, "National Architectural Exhibition: AAROHAN," and the Final Year Project Exhibition of Computer, Electrical, Electronics, and Communication Engineering, reached its fulfilling culmination on Monday, Shrawan 29, 2080. This remarkable event was a harmonious collaboration between Khwopa Engineering College and Khwopa College of Engineering, both run by Bhaktapur Municipality.
The closing ceremony was graced by the presence of the esteemed Chief Guest, Rajani Joshi, Deputy Mayor of Bhaktapur Municipality, and Vice President of the College Management Committee. She extended her heartfelt gratitude to all contributors for the resounding success of the two-day educational exhibition, "AAROHAN." She underscored the imperative to continue organizing such national and international exhibitions in the forthcoming days. Highlighting the indispensability of architecture, electrical, electronics, and communication engineering for the nation's development, Deputy Mayor Joshi expressed her regret over the lack of opportunities for creative minds yearning to tread innovative paths.
Emphasizing Bhaktapur Municipality's commitment to heritage conservation, education, health, sanitation, and more, Deputy Mayor Joshi elucidated how these efforts align with the vision outlined in the book "Bhaktapur After a Century." Fondly recalling her tenure as the Vice Principal of Khwopa Engineering College, she acknowledged the honor bestowed upon her to serve the nation and its people, particularly in the reconstruction endeavors following the Gorkha earthquake of 2072.
Mr. Vijay Kumar Sharma, Chief Administrative Officer of Bhaktapur Municipality, remarked during the closing ceremony that Khwopa Engineering College has commendably harnessed students' talent and creativity. He shared his journey of education, hailing from a village in Jhapa. He recounted the challenges of pursuing education in a resource-limited environment, highlighting the diversity of experiences that shape individual lives. Sharma acknowledged the exhibition as a poignant testament to the manifold narratives of struggle that pave the path to success.
Principal Er. Sujan Maka of Khwopa Engineering College acknowledged the exhibition's resounding impact, reaching students from various educational levels. He pledged the institution's commitment to conducting such educational exhibitions as a regular feature of students' academic journeys, further expressing the aspiration to organize an international-level exhibition involving architects from around the globe.
Echoing this sentiment, Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of Khwopa College of Engineering, acknowledged the students' remarkable dedication in orchestrating the two-day exhibition, endearing themselves to the visitors. He underlined the transformative potential of exhibitions in translating theoretical knowledge into practical expertise, urging students to actively participate in international conferences as well.
The closing ceremony was also marked by expressions of gratitude from the Vice Principal, Er. Rabindra Phoju and Er. Ratnashova Prajapati, along with the words of appreciation from Lecturer Er. Yogesh Bajracharya and student Prakash K.C. The culmination of the event was punctuated by the distribution of prize and token of appreciation to the participating colleges, Exhibitors and volunteers by Chief Guest Rajani Joshi. Architect Rabina Shilpakar also offered her insights, adding a scholarly layer to the event's essence.
Highlights from the exhibition included Kantipur International College securing victory in the Stall competition, showcasing their innovative prowess and creativity. Adding a visual dimension to the event, the Photography Competition witnessed Mr. Nischal Maharjan from Cosmos College of Management and Technology emerging as the victor, capturing the essence of the exhibition through his lens.
