In a heartwarming and inspiring display of support for higher education, Khwopa College of Engineering has once again showcased its commitment to nurturing talent and providing opportunities to deserving students. The college recently held a scholarship distribution ceremony where 88 exceptional students were awarded scholarships worth an impressive Rs. 39 lakhs and Rs. 40 thousand. The scholarship distribution ceremony took place on the 3rd Shrawan 2080, where Bhaktapur Municipality Mayor and Chairman of the College Management Committee, Mr. Sunil Prajapati, presented the scholarship amount to the recipients.
Mr. Prajapati lauded the college's initiative and dedication to enabling both talented and underprivileged students to pursue higher education. He emphasized the importance of ethical values, discipline, and a sense of duty among engineering students, motivating the recipients to utilize the scholarship funds responsibly and strive for excellence in their studies. Mr. Prajapati's speech also shed light on the crucial role of higher education within Nepal, calling on the government to expedite the approval for the establishment of Khwopa University – a demand that resonates with the aspirations of the people.
Mr. Rabindra Jyakhwa, Ward Chairman of Bhaktapur Municipality Ward No. 9 and Coordinator of the Scholarship Recommendation Committee, applauded the educational institutions under the municipality for annually awarding scholarships worth more than Rs. 4 crores to students studying there.
Addressing the program, Er. Sujan Maka, Principal of Khwopa Engineering College, emphasized the importance of practical knowledge alongside academic expertise for engineering students.
