Khwopa College of Engineering's Department of Electronics and Computer Engineering recently hosted a five-day faculty development workshop titled "AI Techniques for Final Year Project Mentors" to equip faculty with essential AI knowledge for mentoring student projects.
The workshop concluded on 15th Shrawan 2082 with a closing ceremony attended by Vice Principal Er. Ratna Sova Prajapati as the chief guest. Also present were Er. Dinesh Gothe, Head of the Department, and Deputy Head Er. Naresh Khatri. In her remarks, Vice Principal Prajapati encouraged faculty to apply their AI skills in mentoring and research, emphasizing collaboration and knowledge sharing. Participants received certificates of participation, while session mentors were awarded certificates of appreciation.
The first three days, led by Er. Anish Baral focused on AI fundamentals, including machine learning types, algorithms, deep learning models, project workflows, evaluation metrics, and practical tools. On Day 4, Er. Mukesh Kumar Pokharel reviewed past AI-based student projects, offering insights into outcomes. The final day featured Er. Dinesh Gothe guided participants on writing and publishing research papers from student projects.
