Khwopa College of Engineering celebrated the achievements of its students from the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering during an Awards and Felicitation Program held on Friday, 20th Asar 2082, at Hall 3, F & G Block. The event, hosted by Er. Naresh Khatri, Deputy Head of Department, began with welcoming remarks from Er. Dinesh Gothe, Head of Department.
The program featured insightful experience-sharing sessions, with Mr. Binod Khatri of Team Yomari recounting his journey in the STEAM project, and Mr. Manee Das Shrestha from Team Profit.exe discussing his team’s recent hackathon experience. Special guest Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati, Vice Principal, presented awards and certificates to the winners and encouraged students to remain innovative and collaborative in their academic and professional endeavors.
Team Yomari, comprising Mr. Pranil Krishna Palikhel, Mr. Binod Khatri, and Mr. Sunayan Duwal, was honored for securing the fifth position in the National STEAM Project Competition, organized by the Ministry of Science, Education, and Technology, Nepal. Their project has been handed over to Saraswati Vidyagriha, a government school in Bhaktapur.
Team Profit.exe, featuring Mr. Manee Das Shrestha, Mr. Sajan Sahikarmi, Mr. Dipesh Singh, and Ms. Dipa Khanal, received recognition as the first runner-up in the "Hack for Business" Hackathon, organized by Kathmandu University School of Management.
Special recognition was also given to Er. Gaurab Tamrakar, Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering, for his mentorship of the STEAM project. The event concluded with the distribution of certificates by Vice Principal Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati, marking a proud occasion for the department and college community.
