Faculty members from the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) actively contributed to a series of micro syllabus reform workshops organized by the Institute of Engineering (IOE) from 9 to 12 Ashad 2082 held at Pulchowk Campus. These workshops were designed to review and update the syllabi of core engineering courses, ensuring alignment with contemporary academic standards, industry trends, and well-defined learning outcomes.
Er. Naresh Khatri, Deputy Head of the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering, participated in the Data Communication (ENCT 253) micro-syllabus workshop. He got actively involved in refining course content, integrating current technological developments, and enhancing assessment methodologies for both theoretical and practical components.
In the Instrumentation (ENEX252) micro syllabus workshop, coordinated by Asst. Prof. Er. Sanjivan Satyal, Er. Gaurav Tamrakar, Deputy Head of the Department of Electrical Engineering was actively engaged. The discussions focused on incorporating emerging concepts such as smart sensors and Internet of Things (IoT)-based instrumentation, improving hands-on teaching approaches, and modernizing evaluation techniques. The event was further enriched by the participation of academic leaders, including Prof. Dr. Ram Krishna Maharjan.
Er. Sunil Kumar Shrestha was actively involved in the Electromagnetics (ENEX254) micro syllabus workshop, where the curriculum was reorganized into structured modules covering essential topics. The discussions emphasized the alignment of teaching hours, assessment strategies, and learning objectives to enhance instructional effectiveness across IOE-affiliated institutions.
Er. Sunil Datheputhe contributed to the Data Structure and Algorithm (ENCT252) micro syllabus workshop, which restructured the curriculum to emphasize practical applications and clearly defined course-level outcomes aligned with broader program objectives.
Representing KhCE in the Operating Systems (ENCT254) micro syllabus workshop, Er. Nishan Subedi participated in the introduction of advanced storage technologies and modern operating system modules, facilitating student engagement with real-world scenarios through case studies.
