The Department of Electrical Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering organized a two-day webinar titled "Cutting-Edge Real-Time Modelling and Simulation" on the 25^th and 26^th of Jestha, 2080 (8th and 9th June, 2023). Professor Francisco M. Gonzalez-Longatt, a well-known distinguished expert in the field and the Leader and Founder of DigEnSysLab was the resource person for this webinar training. The webinar was technically supported by the Nepal Research and Education Network (NREN).

The workshop aimed to provide participants with the knowledge and practical skills in utilizing the "Typhoon Hill" and "Opal-RT" software platforms for real-time modeling and simulation. Around a hundred participants from different arenas such as students, academicians, researchers, and professionals. The participants were from renowned universities of Nepal such as Tribhuwan University (Institute of Engineering), Kathmandu University, Pokhara University, and Purbanchal University.

Professor Longatt shared valuable insights into the latest advancements and best practices in real-time modelling and simulation, specifically in the field of Power System Dynamics. The training session offered participants research-based exposure and equipped them with a strong foundation for potential research collaborations. Overall, the training session proved to be fruitful, providing participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in real-time modelling and simulation.
