Students from the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering have won the prestigious Hack4SafeFood Hackathon, a national competition organized by Vertex Special Technology Pvt. Ltd. in collaboration with the Department of Food Technology and Quality Control (DFTQC), Government of Nepal.
Held from June 2–7, 2025, the week-long event focused on tech-driven food safety innovations. Representing Khwopa as Team Syntax Error, BCT 2078 students Jeeni Shrestha, Jenisha Shrestha, Isha Bhattarai, and Sejal Dahal secured the top position with their impactful project on food quality monitoring.
Their solution stood out for its innovation, feasibility, and social relevance, earning them top honors in the final pitch held on June 6, where they outperformed teams from across the country.
