In a notable effort to advance STEAM education, Team Yomari of Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) formally presented its Eco-City Model to Saraswati Vidhyagriha Secondary School at a handover event held on 3rd Asar 2082 (17th June 2025) in Hall 3 of KhCE’s F & G Block.
The program was chaired by Er. Sunil Duwal, Principal of KhCE, and attended by Mr. Ganuraj Rai, Principal of Saraswati Vidhyagriha, Mr. Sanjaya Manandhar (Head of Administration), Er. Dinesh Gothe (HoD, Computer and Electronics Department), Er. Naresh Khatri (Deputy HoD), and Mentor Er. Gaurab Tamrakar.
The session began with opening remarks by Er. Tamrakar highlighted the dedication of Team Yomari and the model’s usefulness for students from grades 4 to 10. Team members Mr. Pranil Krishna Palikhel, Mr. Dhan Bahadur Khatri, and Mr. Sunayan Duwal explained the model’s features, purpose, and its integration with school curriculum and eco-city concepts.
Principal Mr. Rai commended KhCE’s contribution to educational development and requested a follow-up orientation for school teachers and students. Principal Duwal reflected on the team’s development journey and noted that while the model is promising, its official handover will follow after final refinements.
Also present were class representatives and members of the IT Club from the Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering. The event marked another milestone in strengthening collaboration between KhCE and local schools for hands-on, future-focused education.
