Team Yomari succeeded in securing 5th position at the STEAM Exhibition held on 11 June 2025 in the BP Koirala Memorial Planetarium Observatory and Science Museum, organized by the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, with the presence of Hon. Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Mr. Raghuji Pant, as the Chief Guest. The STEAM Material showcased on the day was “Eco-city Model”.
The preparation phase for the STEAM Material spanned four months, with the core objective of transforming the theoretical syllabus content into a comprehensive, visual, and engaging model. Over 550 students attended the exhibition and interacted with the models showcased on the day of the event. The Eco-city model provided students with a hands-on learning experience in renewable energy generation and utilization, incorporating concepts such as DC current, Faraday’s Law of Electromagnetic Induction, and other fundamental principles essential for building the model.

Over 30 exhibitors, the 5th position was based on the evaluations done by different experts from the Ministry of Education, Science, and Technology. The concept of the trolley bus, implemented within the model, drew enthusiastic responses from both experts and students. Hon. Raghuji Pant expressed his delight upon seeing the trolley bus feature, reminiscing about its past presence, and praised Team Yomari for their innovative and thoughtful concept. The Honorable Minister not only acknowledged the Eco-City Model, but upon learning that Team Yomari represented Khwopa College of Engineering, he remarked, “We are looking forward to Khwopa University as well.”
