Er. Dhurba Karki, a faculty of the Department of Electrical Engineering, participated in a three-day workshop on research proposal development held from May 24th to May 26th, 2023. The workshop was organized by Kantipur City College (KCC) and aimed to provide participants with knowledge and skills for developing research proposals.

The workshop focused on the entire process of research proposal development, from generating research ideas and selecting a research topic to the advanced stages of proposal writing. The main objective was to familiarize participants with the importance of writing a research proposal professionally. Sessions were conducted to help participants understand the essential components of a research proposal, develop clear research objectives, conduct comprehensive literature reviews, and refine research methodologies. Dr. Deepak Bikram Thapa Chhetri, Dr. Bidur Dhungel, Prof. Dr. Shankar Khanal, Dr. Gajendra Sharma, Dr. Babita Paudel Bhattarai, and Dr. Pralhad Karki were the experts who facilitated the workshop. Throughout the workshop, participants gained valuable insights and practical skills to enhance their abilities in crafting effective research proposals. The workshop also emphasized the significance of clear and persuasive writing while guiding the evaluation criteria used by funding agencies to assess research proposals. Overall, the workshop equipped participants with the necessary tools and knowledge to improve the quality of their future research proposals.
