A collaborative meeting among Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE), Khwopa Engineering College (KhEC), and IEEE Power and Energy Society (PES) Nepal Chapter was successfully held on 30th Baisakh 2082 (13 May 2025) at KhCE. The meeting, chaired by KhCE Principal Er. Sunil Duwal, focused on co-organizing the 4th International Conference on the Role of Energy for Sustainable Social Development (RESSD 2025), scheduled for 29–30 May 2025.

The participants included, Vice Principal Subeg Man Bijukcheen (KhEC), Prof. Dr. Raju Bhai Tyata (R&D, KhCE), Assoc. Prof. Sujan Adhikari (General Chair, PES Nepal and Chairperson, RESSD 2025), Asst. Prof. Bishal Silwal (Secretary, PES Nepal), Dr. Sarbagya Buddhacharya and Assoc. Prof. Phanindra Prasad Bhandari (R&D, KhEC), Er. Rakesh Gwachha (HoD, Electrical Engineering, KhCE), and Er. Naresh Khatri (DHoD, Computer and Electronics Engineering, KhCE).

The meeting finalized nominations for organizing and technical committees, discussed volunteer coordination through the Electrical Department, and confirmed institutional support for logistics. Volume 12 of the Journal of Science and Engineering (JScE) will feature a special issue on RESSD 2025, with editorial members nominated by IEEE PES Nepal.

The meeting marked a significant milestone in fostering academic partnership and advancing sustainable energy research.
