Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) organized comprehensive meetings with both its faculty and staff, as well as the student body, on Sunday, 7th Baishakh, 2082, in preparation for the upcoming pre-visit assessment by the Peer Review Team (PRT). The PRT, assigned by the Educational Quality Assurance and Accreditation (QAA) Council under the University Grants Commission (UGC), will conduct a preliminary evaluation as part of KhCE’s ongoing accreditation process.
Principal Er. Sunil Duwal chaired a meeting with faculty and staff focused on institutional readiness, evaluation criteria, and the alignment of academic and administrative units for the QAA process. He emphasized the significance of collective responsibility in upholding the college’s academic and operational excellence, highlighting transparency, consistency, and quality in institutional processes.
Vice Principal Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati elaborated on the expectations from the assessment team, stressing the significance of documentation, evidence-based practices, and effective communication throughout the visit. She called for coordinated efforts across all departments to ensure a smooth and successful assessment. Prof. Dr. Raju Bhai Tyata, Coordinator of the Self-Assessment Team (SAT), presented highlights of the Self-Study Report (SSR) and the progress plan. Meanwhile, department heads and section chiefs provided updates on their preparation. Mr. Sanjaya Manandhar, Head of Administration, shared the assessment schedule.
In a parallel session, KhCE organized an interactive meeting with members of the Students' Quality Circle, Class Representatives, and student club representatives, facilitated by the Student Counseling Committee. Principal Er. Sunil Duwal addressed the students, highlighting key focus areas of the assessment, including student satisfaction in teaching, learning, and evaluation. He also emphasized the importance of the available facilities, services, and learning resources to support students’ overall development.
Vice Principal Er. Ratna Shova Prajapati spoke about students' crucial role in representing their experiences and concerns during the assessment. She encouraged students to actively contribute to the process, reinforcing their responsibility in the quality assurance efforts.
Both meetings aimed to align faculty, staff, and students with the institution’s quality assurance goals, ensuring a unified approach toward the upcoming pre-visit assessment.
