As part of its regular inspection and monitoring activities, the Nepal Engineering Council (NEC) inspected Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) on Friday, 9th Falgun, 2081. The inspection was carried out in accordance with the newly introduced Recognition and Monitoring Guidelines for Engineering Colleges, 2024.
The NEC inspection team, led by Er. Shambhu Bahadur Shrestha, along with Ar. Poshan Thapa and Er. Sanjeev Khanal was welcomed by Principal Er. Sunil Duwal. During the visit, Principal Duwal provided a brief overview of KhCE, highlighting its vision, mission, and objectives. He also elaborated on the various academic programs and activities conducted by the college to enhance engineering education and professional development.
Additionally, Mr. Sanjaya Manandhar, Head of Administration, gave a presentation on the six key monitoring criteria set by NEC guidelines. The team engaged in discussions with faculty and staff members and conducted an on-site inspection of the college’s laboratories, library, and classrooms.
The inspection aimed to ensure compliance with NEC’s updated guidelines, emphasizing academic quality, infrastructure, and faculty standards. NEC’s monitoring efforts play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the quality of engineering education in Nepal, ensuring that institutions continue to meet national professional and ethical standards.
