Khwopa College of Engineering, Department of Computer and Electronics Engineering actively participated in the SILKROAD 4.0 Global Future Summit. This major international event, held across 20+ locations worldwide, brought together global leaders and experts to explore the future of technology and diplomacy.
Representing Khwopa College of Engineering, Er. Naresh Khatri, Deputy Head of the Department and senior lecturer, played an active role in the discussions. His presence underscored the college’s commitment to fostering innovation and its engagement in global dialogues on technological advancements.
The summit, part of the SILKROAD 4.0 initiative, aimed to identify which technologies will shape the future. The theme, "Co-Creating Tomorrow's Relevance," focused on developing sustainable and impactful innovations for global progress.
The event began with a local welcome from Er. Bikash Gurung, President of the Robotics Association of Nepal, followed by a global welcome by Dr. Philipe Reinisch, Founder of SILKROAD 4.0, and H.E. Philipp Agathonos, Austrian Ambassador to Vietnam. Key speakers, including Prof. Dr. Vera Hummel from Germany, Sebastian Rodriguez from Spain, and Dr. Wolfgang Fengler from Austria, addressed topics such as digital sovereignty, artificial intelligence, and global data policies.
The summit concluded with closing remarks by Sec. Frederick Go, who discussed the future of the Philippines and ASEAN in the global south.
