The Research and Development (R&D) Unit of Khwopa College of Engineering organized a progress presentation on ongoing research under a small grant program on the 16^th of July 2024. Two presentations were delivered under research headings “Rock Slope Assessment Using Kinematic and Numerical Analysis: An example from Furke Khola – Dhadingbesi Road, Central Nepal” (Researchers: Aanand K. Mishra, Nirmal Kafle & Raju Miyan) and “Identification of Rooftop Solar Potential of Bhaktapur Municipality-08” (Researchers: Rakesh Gwachha & Rupesh Gautam). The presentations included the progress under the respective objectives set during the of proposal research till the date of presentation. Prof. Dr. Chandra Kiran Kawan, Prof. Dr. Raju Bhai Tyata, and Dr. Subeg Man Bijukchhen, respective heads of the R&D Unit and Department of Science and Humanities, and Vice-principal of Khwopa Engineering College, provided their valuable correctional inputs and suggestions as we advance to make the research outputs more potent. In addition to the progress presentations, Senior Lecturer Ramesh Bala (HoD, Civil Department) presented the proposal for research under his lead titled “Enhancing Traffic Management of Sallaghari-Byasi-Kamalbinayak Road Section of Bhaktapur Municipality Through Road Safety Audit.” The aforementioned team provided suggestions that can be incorporated into the research proposal before the final submission for further processing by the R&D Unit.
