Khwopa Alumni

A confused, clueless and teenage high school graduate landed at Khwopa in 2012 as an undergraduate university student. The girl from streets of Biratnagar had entered the capital city with big dreams, Khwopa taught her dream even bigger. I don’t know how far she will go, but for sure the acceleration started from Khwopa!!

And today, the same girl sits down to write a memo for alumni page and dwells back to her days in Khwopa.

The nurturing environment, quality education, supportive faculties and well-equipped laboratories I got as a student in KhCE had greatly quenched my thirst of curiosity back then. Also, the field visits, projects and guest lectures by the experts from related field have shown me more clear pictures of my field which helped me grow interest in pursuing advanced studies.  Furthermore, joining Khwopa for lecturing duties and getting involved in student projects has clarified my interest into becoming an academician and a researcher. Today, as I continue to pursue higher studies as a researcher, I still find my foundation there.

Apart from the academia, Khwopa marks a happy chapter in my life. As I remember those golden days  as an UG student, the memories of struggles with T scale and drawing sheets, the excitement of seeing a mini hydropower run and synchronize with the grid for the first time, realizing that I have finished designing an entire hydropower solving some tedious math equations and looking at a weird map, the sleepless nights during final year project, lifelong friendships, and many more flood through my head. I think I evolved a little bit when I witnessed my students go through the same. Khwopa has given me a family which I will always count on. 

To all the high school graduates:  My good wishes for becoming better version of yourself!!
