With a deep aspiration to become a civil engineer, I joined Khwopa College of Engineering (KhCE) in 2017. By 2022, I had turned that dream into reality. My journey at KhCE was incredibly enriching, shaping me academically and professionally. The knowledge, skills, and experiences I gained at KhCE laid a solid foundation for my future endeavors. I am currently pursuing my Master's in Civil Engineering at Clemson University, building upon the strong base I developed at KhCE. I am grateful for the guidance and opportunities provided by KhCE, which have been pivotal in my growth.
While many think of a college as a place to earn a degree, my experience at KhCE showed me that it provides opportunities for personal growth and shaping goals. The esteemed faculty members at KhCE provide a strong foundation in theoretical and practical knowledge and serve as mentors, supporting students in exploring their areas of interest.
KhCE is committed to unlocking each student’s potential through a well-structured program schedule that includes various extracurricular activities, such as sports, cultural programs, and annual exhibitions, which add a recreational dimension to student life. The college also organizes guest lectures, workshops, seminars, and national and international conferences. These events allow us as students to expand our networks beyond KhCE and deepen our knowledge beyond the syllabus. With a focus on research-based learning, KhCE actively engages students in research activities by offering funding opportunities.
In this supportive environment, I completed my bachelor’s degree in 2022, fulfilling my dream of being an engineer. To shape my professional career, I worked as a part-time lecturer and research assistant at KhCE. This role provided me with unique experiences, allowing me to contribute to the academic sector, improve my skills, and mentor students. These opportunities have paved the way for me to pursue a master's degree in civil engineering with a specialization in structural engineering at Clemson University.
Finally, to all current and future students, I encourage you to embrace every opportunity KhCE offers inside and outside the classroom. The skills, knowledge, and experiences you gain here will serve as a solid foundation for your future endeavors. Additionally, I advise you to build a professional network, as it will significantly enhance your journey. Wishing you all the best in your journey.
