My time at Khwopa College of Engineering from 2010 to 2014 was a transformative experience, deeply shaping my academic and professional life. Affiliated with Tribhuvan University and run by the esteemed Bhaktapur Municipality, the college provided a robust platform for my development as a civil engineer.

Majoring in civil engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering was both challenging and rewarding. The college boasted state-of-the-art laboratories, including concrete, soil mechanics, hydraulics, and structural labs. These facilities were meticulously managed and provided hands-on experiences that were critical for understanding complex engineering concepts. The practical exposure in these labs was invaluable, bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application.

The faculty at the College were exemplary in their professionalism and dedication. Professors brought a wealth of knowledge and industry experience to their teaching, fostering a learning environment that was both rigorous and supportive. Their commitment to punctuality and hard work set high standards for us, instilling a sense of discipline that has been crucial in my career. The guidance and mentorship from these experienced instructors were instrumental in my academic growth and professional preparedness.

Reflecting on my years at Khwopa College of Engineering, I am grateful for the comprehensive education and personal growth I experienced. Diwakar K C, Ph.D.

About Diwakar:
Diwakar K C, Ph.D. is from Tulsipur-10, Paddha, Dang. He completed Civil Engineering at Khwopa College of Engineering in 2014. He was awarded a Ministry of Education scholarship and pursued a Master's in Bridge and Tunnel Engineering at Huazhong University of Science and Technology, China (2015-2017). After his Master’s, he contributed to designing key hydropower projects in Nepal, such as Trishuli 3B, Betan Karnali, and Pukhot Karnali. From 2019 to 2023, he completed a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering at the University of Toledo, USA, with full funding and assistantships. Post-Ph.D., he joined Geotechnology LLC in Cincinnati, Ohio, as a Project Geotechnical Engineer, working on infrastructure projects in Ohio and Kentucky. He has also published numerous articles in internationally recognized journals.
